  • Ancient histories: Literature buffs, art aficionados and night owls alike will feel right at home at Grand Hyatt Athens, a modern pad with direct access to the city’s pick n’ mix bag of cultural sights. Sandwiched right between the historic centre and the glamorous Athenian Riviera, you can enjoy the best of both worlds at this centrally-located gem.

  • Rooftop sunsets: Traverse the city’s network of criss-cross streets ticking off bucket-list sights as you go - from the ancient Acropolis and the Parthenon to the Temple of Olympian Zeus. After a day spent culture-hopping, soothe aching limbs with a refreshing dip in the inviting rooftop pool (which has views of the Acropolis, no less).

  • Greek delights: At mealtimes, take your pick from three on-site dining destinations, serving up gold medal-worthy Mediterranean and Asian-fusion dishes, before hitting the bars until the early hours at nearby Kolokani Square. Be sure to try a traditional gyros loaded with tzatziki from a street stall before turning in for the night.
